Cooking & Kitchen Skills
for homeschool families.

Cooking is school. It's chemistry, math, history, and life skill all in one. Cullinan's cooking track is built around real recipes a kid can make at every grade level — with safety baked in.

What it covers

From kindergarten through senior year.

  • K-1: kitchen safety, simple no-cook snacks, measuring
  • 2-3: measuring + simple recipes, stovetop safety
  • 4-5: knife skills, stovetop cooking, breakfast + lunch independence
  • 6-12: baking science, world cuisines, meal planning, food business math
The Cullinan approach

Every recipe is a built-in lab lesson. The kid predicts what will happen, follows the procedure, observes the outcome, and writes a short reflection. Safety disclaimers are baked into every lesson; stove-top and knife work are gated by age.

Why it matters

An 8th grader who can cook three meals independently has a skill 80% of college freshmen don't. It's also a great applied-math + chemistry vector that hides the academic work inside something fun.
