speech
for homeschool families.

Speaking confidently is a skill. Cullinan teaches it as a track — short speaking exercises in K-1, story-telling structure in elementary, formal debate in middle school, recorded persuasive speeches in high school.

What it covers

From kindergarten through senior year.

  • K-1: speaking clearly, asking good questions
  • 2-3: story structure: beginning, middle, end
  • 4-5: claim-evidence-reasoning
  • 6-12: logical fallacies, Lincoln-Douglas debate, ethos/pathos/logos, recorded TED-style talks
The Cullinan approach

Most exercises end with a spoken recording. The system transcribes it (via Scribe) and the tutor critiques delivery + content. For debate lessons, the kid argues both sides — strongest training there is for thinking, not just talking.

Why it matters

Speech + debate kids dominate college applications, interviews, and any role that requires arguing a point. It's also one of the few subjects where homeschoolers historically did better than school kids — Cullinan keeps that going.
