History & Social Studies
for homeschool families.

History taught as a list of dates is forgettable. History taught as the story of people making decisions sticks. Cullinan's history lessons are narrative-first.

What it covers

From kindergarten through senior year.

  • K-2: family, community, US symbols, basic map skills
  • 3-5: US states + regions, explorers, colonies, Revolution
  • 6-8: world history (ancient → modern), US history through Civil War
  • 9-12: modern world, US history 1900-present, government + economics
The Cullinan approach

Stories first, then dates. The tutor asks 'why did X happen' before 'when did X happen.' Essays in middle and high school require citing primary or secondary evidence — the same skill that drives any humanities work.
